Character Interview with Xiomara Stallworth

For those who haven't met her, let me introduce Ms. Xiomara Stallworth, CEO and certified bad girl from my novel A LITTLE SUMTHIN' SUMTHIN'.

Xiomara: Thanks for the invitation and the intro, Imani.
Imani: Thanks, Ms. Stallworth, for taking the time to speak with me.
Xiomara: No problem. Please call me Xiomara.
Imani: So tell us, exactly who is Xiomara Stallworth?
Xiomara: I’m the CEO of Stallworth Global Holdings, and the daughter of Miles Stallworth. I have my MBA and a few other impressive credentials, but most importantly, I’ve been groomed to run my father’s company since I was a teenager.
Imani: I see. How did you and Fatimah Briggs meet?
Xiomara: You mean Fatimah Strong?
Imani: I stand corrected. Fatimah Strong.
Xiomara: One night, she filled in for the instructor in a class I was taking at the university. She was beautiful.
Imani: So it was love at first sight?
Xiomara: Not really. I could tell she had a brilliant legal mind, and knew that she would be an asset to my team over at SGH. She was the total package-smart AND gorgeous.
Imani: So you set out from the very beginning to steal her away from her job AND her husband?
Xiomara: It was nothing like that. There was some time between that class and when we started bumping into each other at lunch. Besides, she had already left Malcolm by then.
Imani: Sounds like you're a bit defensive. And you had no idea what her life with Malcolm had been like behind closed doors? The beatings?
Xiomara: We all have secrets. Some worse than others.
Imani: Very true. And your secret was quite devastating, wasn’t it? You never intended for your past to get out, did you?
Xiomara: What is this? An interrogation? I thought we were here to talk about me and Fatimah.
Imani: I apologize, Xiomara. We are. I’m just trying to get inside your head. Find out your thoughts on a few things.
Xiomara: Continue with that, and this interview is over.
Imani: Okay, so what do you think of Malcolm and what eventually happened to him?
Xiomara: The truth? He was a low life jerk who got EXACTLY what he deserved.
Imani: You may be right. Anything else you’d like to add?
Xiomara: As a matter of fact, there is. Karma’s a cold bitch with a long memory. And no matter what, at some point, we all have to face our demons-dance with the skeletons in our closets, so to speak.
Imani: You mean like Malcolm?
Xiomara: Especially Malcolm. Anything else? Or are we done here?
Imani: In light of what you have admitted to, would you agree to take a polygraph exam? It would help clear up a few things.
Xiomara: I'm an educated woman on top of her game. Everybody knows lie detector tests aren’t admissible in court. So no, I won’t take it. I don't have to.
Imani: Well then, I guess we’re done. For now. Thanks again for speaking with me.
Xiomara: No problem. And if you need to “clear up” anything else, contact my attorney. You DO know Fatimah Strong, right? Here’s her card.

I think it's pretty clear that Ms. Xiomara Stallworth is a woman with something to hide. What do you think?

"A Little Sumthin Sumthin" Released on Kindle!

In the last week or so, my first novel was released on Kindle. The wait is over!

About the Book:
How do you start over when you never thought you’d have to?
Meet Fatimah Briggs. She's tired of the games, tired of the lies, tired of her husband.
Malcolm has spent his entire marriage thinking of only himself and getting “a little sumthin sumthin” on the side. Plus, when he’s angry, he lashes out at the one person who’s always believed in him, even when it tore her heart to pieces.
But after one confrontation too many, Fatimah decides that enough is enough. When her bruises heal, she refuses to return home, choosing to start a new life without Malcolm.
Enter Xiomara, the badass CEO of Stallworth Global who always gets what she wants. And what she wants is Malcolm’s ex.
That’s when Fatimah has to face some truths of her own, and finally take charge of things.
But while Xiomara may be impressed, it seems more than a few people aren’t going to like the new and improved Fatimah who speaks her mind and stands up for herself.  Even against her ex-husband.

And for Malcolm, that's a big problem.
ALSS is a story about starting over, finding strength when you thought you had none, and accepting what is. It’s a tale of karma, truth, and survival because sometimes, what goes around, really does come around.
And for Fatimah, the trick will be staying alive long enough to see it happen.
Available NOW in e-book for the Kindle Reader and other devices. Coming soon in paperback and e-book for all other e-readers.

Reality, Dreams and Nightmares by Gaiven Clairmont

I absolutely LOVE Erotica written by men, and this man is among my top 5 or 6 writers in the genre (I'm hoping to get my chance to interview the others someday).

In Reality, Dreams, and Nightmares, Gaiven tells a tale of infidelity, and what it can lead to.

Kimberly is married to Ricardo, a mechanical engineer who's great at his job, but work takes him away from home for far too many nights. This leaves Kimberly to accept the strain that Ricardo's absence puts on the marriage-especially their sex life. And while she's never strayed from the marital bed, on occassion, she has put herself in situations that tempted her fidelity.

Christopher is Ricardo's loyal friend and co-worker who begrudges his marriage, and is definitely attracted to Kimberly.

Reality, Dreams, and Nightmares is a story of what happens when Kimberly's reality, dreams, and nightmares merge to become something she never imagined. Or ever intended.

And ultimately, for her, once she crosses that line, it becomes nearly impossible to tell where one ends and the others begin.

"I Just Want to Live My Life, Malcolm!"

How do you start over when you never thought you’d have to?

And dealing with “a little sumthin sumthin” may prove to be far more than anyone should be expected to handle.
